SUMMIT PIANO SCHOOL: Piano Studio of Laura Wilkins

I am a private piano teacher in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is my goal to foster a love of music in all students and to develop the self esteem and self discipline that comes from musical accomplishment. I will do my best to encourage and challenge your child's abilities with a well rounded curriculum of theory, ear training, sight reading, music history and performance opportunities.

Studio Information:

Located close to downtown Fayetteville, on beautiful Mt. Sequoyah
2008 Steinway A grand piano and 2010 Yamaha DGX-640 digital piano
Computer lab with many software titles as well as Music Learning Community

Services Offered:

30 and 45 minute private piano instruction weekly
Computer lab time after lesson to enhance learning
Weekly focus on theory, ear training and music appreciation
Monthly group classes
Two studio recitals each year as well as regional recitals
Opportunities to participate in the Sonata/Sonatina Celebration, the ASMTA Region 1 Festival, the Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program, and the National Piano Guild Auditions

About Laura Wilkins: I have been teaching private piano lessons for 12 years. I studied piano under Dr. Edward Connelly at Arkansas Tech University on a full music scholarship, with continued studies at Valley City State University, and I continue to enhance my personal music education through attendance at conferences, participation in piano teaching forums, and continued efforts to seek out the latest in the field of piano education. My students regularly participate in regional music festivals and events. I currently am President of the North Arkansas Music Teacher's Association, Secretary of the Arkansas State Music Teacher's Association, am on the National Honor Roll of Piano Guild Teachers, and a Certified Piano Teacher by the American College of Musicians.
